Consultation workshop on “Challenges Related to Labor Rights, Working Conditions, Gender, and Social Security”

On 10 February 2026, the Legal Support for Children and Women (LSCW) organized a consultation workshop on “Challenges Related to Labor Rights, Working Conditions, Gender, and Social Security” in Kampong Thom Province. The consultation was part of the project “Decent Work Conditions for Rubber and Banana Plantation Workers in Cambodia”, which is being implemented in collaboration with ADHOC and We World, with funding support from the European Union. A total of 37 participants attended the consultation, including 7 women, representing rubber and banana plantation companies, the Department of Women’s Affairs, the Department of Social Affairs, the Provincial Police Commissariat, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), as well as banana and rubber plantation workers.

The consultation created an opportunity for workers in the rubber and banana plantation sectors to raise challenges related to labor rights, working conditions, gender equality, and social protection in the workplace. It also provided an opportunity for relevant departments and institutions to share information regarding their roles and responsibilities, and in particular, to propose practical solutions to the issues raised.
