{"id":661,"date":"2011-10-13T12:08:27","date_gmt":"2011-10-13T12:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/adhoc-press\/?p=661"},"modified":"2011-10-13T12:08:27","modified_gmt":"2011-10-13T12:08:27","slug":"hearings-delayed-in-land-dispute-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adhoccambodia.org\/km\/hearings-delayed-in-land-dispute-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearings delayed in land dispute cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/adhoccambodia.org\/gallery\/images\/LogoPPPost3.jpg\" alt=\"\" align=\"top\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Wednesday, 19 January 2011, May Titthara<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pursat provincial court has postponed until January 27 a hearing originally set for Monday after six villagers from Krakor district involved in a land dispute with a development company requested time to secure legal representation, a village representative said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The six, from Ansar Chambak commune, were summonsed to the court after local conglomerate Pheapimex Group \u2013 owned by Choeung Sopheap, the wife of ruling party senator Lao Meng Khin \u2013 filed a complaint accusing them of destroying private property.<\/p>\n<p>One of the villagers, Lach Saran, said yesterday that villagers had last week received permission to delay the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The dispute began in 2008, when Pheapimex began bulldozing land for development.
