\"\u17e1.1\"<\/a>ADHOC\u2019s central office celebrated the 104th<\/sup> International Women\u2019s Day 2015, focusing on Women and decision-making, on 5 March 2015 at ADHOC central office from 8am to 12 pm.<\/p>\n

Over 100 people participated, including victims of land rights violations and human trafficking to which ADHOC has provided legal assistance and counseling. Welcome \"\u17e2.2\"<\/a>remarks were made by Mr. Thun Saray, the president of ADHOC.<\/p>\n

Mr. Thun Saray said that most victims of land rights violations, especially women, have not had action taken by the government or related institutions, but often are threatened by the court. Some are arrested and even put into prison, never receiving justice from the government. Some other victims of rape, trafficking, and domestic violence have not gotten a solution or fair treatment, and others have not been reunited with their relatives. The government should try to find and help the victims as much as they can.<\/p>\n

ADHOC will try its best to h\"\u17e3.3\"<\/a>elp victims through counseling, legal assistance, and some material assistance in order to help make the victims\u2019 voices heard by decision makers.<\/p>\n

Ms. Chhan Sokunthea, Head of the Women and Children\u2019s Rights Section, said that ADHOC is working on impunity cases related to serious crimes involving domestic violence, rape and human trafficking. She shared the sadness of those who have had their rights violated, but also shared in the happiness of those who have received justice, and the hope of all participants for a future in which women will have their rights respected and will be treated with the dignity deserved by all.<\/p>\n
