{"id":1097,"date":"2011-12-19T16:17:08","date_gmt":"2011-12-19T08:47:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/adhoc-cambodia.org\/?p=1097"},"modified":"2012-06-05T08:35:55","modified_gmt":"2012-06-05T01:35:55","slug":"national-training-on-asean-human-rights-mechanism-on-13th-14th-december-2011-at-le-royal-hotel-phnom-penh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adhoccambodia.org\/km\/national-training-on-asean-human-rights-mechanism-on-13th-14th-december-2011-at-le-royal-hotel-phnom-penh\/","title":{"rendered":"National Training on ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism on 13th-14th December 2011 at Le Royal Hotel, Phnom Penh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>National Training on ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>on 13<sup>th<\/sup>-14<sup>th<\/sup> December 2011 at Le Royal Hotel, Phnom Penh<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In December ADHOC and the Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee (CHRAC) jointly organized the national workshop on ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism for the training of trainers from local NGOs, thanks to support from Forum-Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives of this training were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To enhance the knowledge, skills and capacity of national and local civil society organizations, community organizations and people\u2019s movements in engaging with the ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism<\/li>\n<li>To enhance the capacity of local trainers and resource persons by providing opportunity for those who attended the regional training of trainers on ASEAN advocacy to implement the knowledge and skills on ASEAN advocacy that they learned through jointly conducting the national training with FORUM-ASIA\u2019s trainers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The participants represented the following 20 local organizations: ADHOC, Forum-Asia, American Bar Association, SDOK, YFP, CVS, Star Kampuchea, Silaka, Nifcet, CDP, NGO CRC, NGOs Forum, Comfrel, ANSA, Youth for Peace, YRDP, Caram, and CHRAC.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year ADHOC and the Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee (CHRAC) jointly organized the national workshop on ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism for training of trainers from local NGOs, thanks to support from Forum-Asia.<br \/>\nThe aims of the training were mainly to disseminate knowledge and to enhance skills of CSOs for engaging with the AICHR, ACWC and ASEAN as well as help establish local trainers and resource persons at a national level.
